We started our day with birthday pancakes complete with strawberries and blueberries and of course the whipped topping! I think his favorite part is the topping can that sprays in your mouth. Who cares about putting it on the pancakes! Doug came home mid morning from work, so he could assemble his trampoline that we got him. It should be a fun day.

Teresa Haynes was my first roomate at OBU, little did we know that years later, she and I would be doing some of the same things. We both have three young kids and are both photographers. I can only dream to be as successful as she is. She has won numerous kodak awards among other international awards for her photography. Recently she had two images displayed on the jumbo tron in times square...yea NYC! I can't stand how incrediably talented she is. I hope to visit sometime soon. Well, what started out as a planned outdoor session, quickly turned in doors and we had to improvise. I was very thankful, the Lee's opened their home so we could capture the entire family. Keep them in your prayers as they fight cancer.....I know with God's grace she will overcome.

We had great weather down south and I got some spoiling from mom and dad! The kids always spend the days with their cousins. Everything from lizard catching to hop scotch, the kids had a blast. I even managed to 'jump in' with jump rope after more than 20 years....Addy is just about to get it.

I thought about this time last year, I was still changing diapers on the little one....boy what a difference a year will make. I am kinda sad to think that his third year is more than half over. He is saying the funniest things. Then last night he and I started the pinky promise game, mainly because of his whinning....maybe that little game will do the trick? I hope something changes and soon.

This little guy was so fun to photograph today. He is still a little unsure on the standing alone, but he did great and I think was a little distracted I guess by the new territory that he didn't realize he was standing all alone a LONG Time! I just love these shots....I was like he's happy, happier, happiest! don't you think? Oh, and he sure surprised us all by his reaction to the cake and balloons, or should I just say balloons. He was all business with those balloons. You guys were great today and I love the images! have fun choosing.

I have had two full weekends without photography clients....what's a girl to do? I made the most of last weekend with family and rest. This weekend looks to be very dreary...so maybe catch up on some reading. I just finished the Shack by William Young. Any readers out there care to share your comments on the book? I would love to hear. Next up is Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins...everyone that's read it says you can't put it down... I can't wait. I need something really good for spring break. Any suggestions? Here's a week in review around the Hasley house. The last picture is of my poor dog who is in desperate need of a haircut and a bath!

How precious is this little guy and girl? They are really growing. They've definitely lost that newborn look, huh? So priceless. S. and N you guys are doing great as parents. I was so impressed that the twins made it in the studio for at least one hour, that's a long time for six monthers! I look forward to watching them grow up. The first picture cracks me up....I wonder what they think of each other? It is almost like you can hear him saying, "Why in the world is this crazy lady putting us in a basket with you, sitting on my legs?"

This little guy is the cutest thing ever. I just love Kristen and Aaron.....such precious parents. Korben is a for sure product of the happiness you guys have in your life. Even though little girls are precious to capture at this stage, the little boys are so innocent. I love them. I am glad today went so well. Korben has a contagious smile...don't you think?! I had too many to post of my favorites, but these are a few of my top picks from today's session. I wish blogger could do something about their output, because this post does nothing for the blues in this boys' eyes. Sweetness.

Valentine's Day

Doug and I took the kids for a Valentine treat today. We all love Marble Slab....Bennett got the crazy combo today....blueberry ice cream with raspberries folded in it? Strange! But they loved it. Bryant's was the best, chocolate ice cream with butterfinger mixed in. Is it strange that we all try each other's treat? oh well. I love the picture of the boys, Bryant is mid lick!

Living Faith

You know there are always those times in our lives where we just stop where we are, pause, and say Our God is Good. As most of you know Collin was diagnosed with leukemia back in the fall and has just now in the last days come home for the first time from Children's. Emily and Phillip are living out their faith. Emily said tonight that, "This is our new reality," keeping him safe and loving him through this trial. I know that I would be full of doubt about God's provision if I was in their place, but they are just so firm in their job as protectors and parents. They truly are a witness to what so many of us 'say' we believe. So many prayers have been lifted up for this family but Collin can always use more. They've had a really good week at home and by the looks of the pictures, Collin hasn't missed a step! or should I say crawl. He is super close to taking off. He really wanted his toys tonight. So..... our God is Good, because of the doctors and caregivers Collin has had.....for the medicine available to him....and the smile he spreads on Collin's face! what a delight. Go hug your babies!

I had the opportunity to photograph two sweet families with precious little ones and meet a engaged couple today that I already have a lot in common. Seems like this week, was packed with makeup work from last week. Anywho, we all made it and I am loving this weather. It is such a tease for the good stuff come late March and into April. I was so swamped with work this week, that I didn't even know that the ground hog....whatever his name is....saw his shadow....doesn't that mean more winter? Who knows.......After the school district announced what their plans were for the snow day. I hope we don't miss anymore. Yuck!
So with the weekend now upon us. I hope to do a little bit of this.... and a little bit of that....like finishing Breaking Dawn. I'm so tired of reading about Bella and Edward.. I've loved the books, but enough already!

My cooking Man

There are so many things I love about this guy I married, but I will have to say one of my very favorites is his cooking skills. He never cooks to provide a "meal" like I do. He only cooks to indulge us! I love it. We were watching Rachel Ray the other night and she made these awesome fruit turnovers with blueberries. So in the wet cold rain yesterday he got out and picked up the ingredients. To our delight he and Addison made this great dessert! So yummy! I'll try to find the receipe, I don't know what he did with it? We had so much fun being a family yesterday. Today after lunch he went back to work. But is was great fun while it lasted. We have burned over 20 logs on the fire....now that's a 24hour fire. We were only without power for about four or five hours on Monday night. We kinda had a sleepover. We slept on the couches in front of the fire. That is until the lights came back on at 2:00 in the morning. I hope many of you didn't loose power for long. I know NW arkansas folks are mostly the ones still missing power. hang in there!

My family got a lot richer today, no not monetarily but spiritually. I witnessed one of my three children be baptized today. How awesome to know that what our grandparents on both sides began long ago with our rich spiritual heritage is continuing on through our children. It is not by accident that Bennett came to understand the difference between just knowing the facts and placing his trust in Jesus. It was because my parents and my grandparents, Doug's parents and Doug's grandparents unselfishly gave back to the Lord, seeking his face through ups and downs, trusting him to guide them through life, following his plan....Now Doug and I are the ones trying to set the example and teach truth through our actions and faith we have that God is superior to all and will conquer all. We serve a mighty God. That same God reached down and blessed our family today to witness this example of the next generation being a servant of Christ. By the way, he was the cutest little thing if I do say so myself. I love him so much!

Addy's Seven

We had a great time with friends and family today at Addy's birthday party. From church to school and neighborhood, Addy was definatly blessed today by her special friends. Pray without ceasing

There are literally hundreds of women praying right now for a little girl named Harper Brown Stamps. Those same mothers and mothers 'to be' have been anxiously awaiting to find out all the beautiful details from Kelly about Harper's arrival. Harper is currently at St. Francis in Tulsa where she will be put on a heart/lung bypass machine for a couple of days. Pray without ceasing for this new family of three.

Since Doug had to put our older lab to sleep a month or two ago, the little or should I say younger lab, Pixie, had been inside every afternoon and sleeps under our bed. My little westie, Murphy and Pixie are best of friends. They are really spunky in the morning, playing chase and running laps around this huge backyard. I can't wait until this summer to be home with all "five" kids. Pixie is really calm, extremly calm, considering she is still a lab pup, not even a year old yet. She does like to dig, but maybe she'll stop that soon? In the morning, we let them outside and when the kids and I get home from school, they are anxious to get inside! We have had a good time playing and enjoying Pixie being inside. At least the house is big enough to accomodate the extra two playmates. Pixie's favorite spot in the house other than under our bed, is right at my feet in the kitchen. Murphy just follows me around, and finds any place to sleep. I love that the kids will grow up with these two great dogs!

Digital365 project is a great site for creative templates for you to use on digital scrapbooking. I have been slowly but surely moving in that direction. Since the move, I've decided no more "real" stuff and this website has some great freebies on Valentine's stuff. I will definitely be making the kids their cards again this year to give away to friends at school. So fun to personalize them.

The kids had their awards assembly today at school. Unfortantely, the school changed the time orginally set for this afternoon. So, I missed it. I hate that. Supposedly they called to let everyone know, but it was this morning. I was already at work. Anywho, the kids weren't too sad that I missed it....they know I tried. The both have great grades and good citizenship. Except they both talk to much according to their teachers! Hmmmm, wonder where they got that from? Finally it is Friday, the first week back is always a long one!

Check out our additional family blog here and add it to your blogroll. I got this idea from Jennifer. I am really glad I had some extra time today to set this up. I don't scrapbook with the real stuff anymore. I print out my digital layouts on 12x12 photographic paper, so this blog will help me keep track of the little daily stuff that I often overlook. I hope to combine the posts and images throughout the year in one album for 2009. I know that May will be super busy, but it is just one snap and a sentence or two, surely I can do it, right? I haven't even blogged on the kids Christmas' parties, our scavenger hunt for the Christmas Eve gift, or Christmas morning, baking goodies in our new house for our neighbors...... here's a few pictures to sum it all up. Doug and the kids got Rock Band for PSIII from me, so they had to work extra hard to find that gift. We stayed up way late playing with our new toy on Christmas Eve. The kids parties at school were very fun and festive. Bryant was the funny one on Christmas Morning. He didn't want to wake up and I couldn't get the other two to wait on him to see what Santa had dropped off. I've posted a classic picture of Bryant pouting on the stairs. I bet next year, he'll be ready to wake up. Tis the Season

Four Generations

Last week, my Grandmother came up to stay with mom and dad so we could spend Christmas with her. I love it when she comes for a visit. She lives in Mobile, AL, so that drive is out of the question for us over the holidays. I miss seeing her terribly and she just celebrated her 85th birthday a few short weeks ago, with a surprise birthday party. We didn't get to go, but she said she had a blast and got to visit with people she hadn't seen in years. She has been such an important part of my life. We try to capture a photograph each time the four of us are together. Out of four children Grandmother had, we are her only fourth generation girls! Grandmother's other daughter, Pam does have a daughter....she just isn't married yet. So we hope she can take another picture like this one with Pam and Emily and the newest great grandaughter.

(yikes) They are all three real troopers for making this journey to bring him home. Honestly is there anything sweeter than this for Christmas, really. We had our annual Hasley Christmas today. For the last two years, we have had it on Mulberry Hill, which is off the pig trail. What Christmas Means to Me

I can't decide if my childhood or my adult Christmas' are more special. How about you other moms? My childhood Christmas went something like this......I remember opening one gift, reading the Christmas story and going to sleep on the bunk beds on Christmas eve in my brother's room. Our Christmas morning started at 3:30 a.m. yep! We had presents to open, coffee to drink and sausage balls to eat before we headed to Dumas to spend the morning with my "mom" really my grandmother, but that's the name we called her. The day after Christmas we made the trip to Mobile to spend several days with Grandmother and Papaw and all the Sheppard cousins. In my memory there were very few Christmas that were cold in Mobile, so we would spend a lot of time outside. The Sheppard family is huge, so there was never a dull moment, that's for sure. It is mostly girl cousins on that side, we always had the best barbies, baby dolls, hair stuff, make-up...you name it. You girls remember the kit and kaboodles, (or is that the name of dog food).....I can't seem to seperate it, but anyway, Jennifer, Jenelle, Blair, and me had so much fun.
Next is the adult Christmas memories. I can't tell you how much fun, Doug and I have had being parents on Christmas. To be honest I don't recall the first few Christmas Doug and I shared before kids, really. From the gifts we have purchased to late night "instruction reading" sessions to put the toys together, it has been a blast. Last Christmas was the most fun, I guess. All three kids really "got" Santa, Bryant was 2 1/2, so it was all fun and games. Everyone in the family asked Santa for a Wii, if you don't remember they were impossible to find until Dec. 23rd! We got ours, thank goodness to Santa. Doug and I spent Christmas Eve playing with the new toy. Even with all the parties and church things around this time of year, being an adult and celebrating our Savior's birth is the best.

Well, we managed to squeeze in three sessions this afternoon, before the rain hit. But, the wind was aweful. Poor Tressa....but actually I really like them after I got home, it doesn't look near that windy in the images compared to how it felt. The next senior was Amy, both girls are super smart and will go really far next year and the years to come. I know I say that about each one of my seniors, but I really do mean it! They rep Northside in a great way. Last, my day was finished with another fav family. How cute is this Parker and Kendall! Love them all. This is the last of the schedule appt's for 2008. It has been a year that's for sure for Still Moments. God has truly blessed my family...I hope I've been able to pass the blessings on to all of you. I absolutely love this time of year. I'm going to enjoy my new house this week, do some baking, attend some Holiday parties and watch Christmas movies with the kids. I can't wait for Santa....oh, yea. He came over Thanksgiving and brought a new house. Well the kids haven't had Santa yet, so I'll enjoy that just as much.

Here is super mom 101. These girls are only 11 months apart. Can you imagine? I can't. I just think these girls are super photogenic. Super sweet girls with super sweet mom and dad. You guys are troopers. We actually got a few of little Abby sitting straight up....she still isn't 7 months, yet. and though Molly didn't care too much for the whole session thing tonight, I got a precious smile out of her, don't you think!

Door Decorating Contest

This is our toughest competition we think. It was Mrs. Freeny's door...SOOO creative!

Can't you tell exactly what he is thinking! I don't want to break another one!

Since most of the work around the house is done, we set up our tree tonight. Our family is crazy about Christmas like most of yours, so it has been painful to not have our tree up. Tonight the kids did every bit of it themselves. I didn't advise on where to put the ornaments or anything. They did a great job. Bryant only broke one! After that I did say, no breakable ones for him. He then began to ask with each one he picked up, "Is this breakable, mommy?" He is so cute. I asked the kids to hold up their favorite ornament this year, and I snaped it of them holding it. I love how it turned out. I think I may do something special with those images?

Sophie Bug

We got Sophie in late 1998, she was the best duck hunting dog ever. By no means was she any one else's dog but Doug's. She never had much to do with the kids, but she wasn't snippy either, just Doug's dog. Well, a little over a year ago, we found out she had heart worms. Today was her last day with our family. I can't believe how hard it is to loose a dog. Pixie is our newest lab, though she won't ever replace Sophie, she is a great dog.....still pretty much a puppy. I took a picture of Doug and Sophie earlier in the week, it is not a great one, but at least we have some of the two of them together. We all knew she didn't have much time left.

I am NOT gifted in any stretch of the imagination in dealing with preschoolers, yes I know i've had two and am currently dealing with one.......but it is much different when you are expected to actually teach a room full and I mean a room full 12 to be exact to learn music and to fall in love with music as a to worship our Savior. Well, because I felt a strong sense that God was already at work and the position was so needed, I said yes. I've always been taught to join God were he is already at work. God has received the Glory through this because it really has been through him that these little ones have learned anything at all. They sang last Sunday night and they were so proud to be up there. Thanks to Melissa, Shelly, and Trina for coming every week and being that extra arm that I need. I hope we get through the spring!:) Anyway, I wanted to share some photos of the night. My Bennett and Addy sang, too. So there's a few of those posted as well.

Thanksgiving of '08 will be one to remember for our family that's for sure. Doug and I got to close on the house, finally, on Wednesday the day before thanksgiving. By 4:00 that afternoon I was painting the upstairs bedrooms, Beth Ann and I had taped and cleaned the Sunday before we closed, so that we could hit the ground running.....we had so much to do, or I should say so much to paint! Anyway, by 1:30 in the morning, Doug and I had finished the three bedrooms upstairs and put a coat on the stairwell. the next morning, off to Mena we went to enjoy Thanksgiving lunch with the Hasley and Costner crew. We had great weather for the kids to play outside; I love Thanksgiving's that aren't too cold! We traveled back to the Fort and began painting around 4:00 Thanksgiving day. Doug and I tackled the rest of the stairwell and hallway, guest bath and part of the kitchen. We stopped working around midnight. The next morning we were painting by 8:00 and enjoyed listening to the Hogs actually win a game while we finished up the den, kitchen, and dining area. Pretty much the only room that wasn't painted in our 2,500 sq feet was the master bedroom and bath, oh and the laundry room. My favorite part of the painting was accenting the fireplace with red against the gray walls. thanks for the advice, Dawn and Delbra. It just makes the room look great. As Friday drew to a close, Doug and I had completed the painting and were ready to move in furniture, boxes, etc Sat. and Sunday. We got all the boxes unpacked by Sunday night, so we slept there for the first time! My favorite memory of the whole move was the time I had with Doug, just the two of us, painting our hearts out on our new home!

What were we thinking moments?

1)Buying a fridge that doesn't quite fit the space.( but I love it, so we are adding a cabinet to make it work)

2) ordering the wrong size wall oven/microwave and being told that the correct size won't be ready until the 18th of December!

3) replacing all the outlets upstairs and thinking that was a quick job! thanks Daddy! hope your hands heal!

4) to do yard work the first Saturday we occupied the home! Why weren't we resting? We filled 25 bags and the front yard still isn't all raked up with one tree still hanging on to all it's leaves.

5) letting the kids throw wiffle(sp) balls up and down the stairs. If I hear that ball bounce on the tile one more time.

6) hanging all my Christmas decorations before they do the heating and air work that will probably be the equivalent to the dust bowl in my home.

I just can't believe what a blessing the space is....Doug asked me this morning if I was going to actually pick one of the sinks in our bathroom, or was I just going to continue to use both. I told him, both! Isn't that fun.

So here is a big shout out to both sets of our parents. Doug and Delbra let us pretty much take over their house for almost two weeks. The dogs totally destroyed the patio, sorry about not cleaning it up. You were very gracious to let us move in and make us feel comfortable. How could I not thank Daddy Doug for all the moving out and moving in you did for us. I kept my sanity while Delbra watched the kids, too.

Thanks to mom and dad for all the unboxing, moving, etc you did for us and I didn't even get to cook you a meal! We worked you guys from sun up to sun down. Hopefully the next time you stay, I'll have a full functioning kitchen:)

Thanks to all our family that prayed for us to find this house, that means the world to us.

WHAT WOULD WE DO WITHOUT FAMILY!

that's a wrap on our excursion into the new house. Now the real fun begins as we begin LIVING there. I'll post pictures after this week. It will be messy all week because of the work they are doing inside.

Without internet for the last week or two, I'm terribly behind on all sorts of things to blog. Hopefully I'm in the clear with my internet access, but for now, Here's my Addy turning 7, wow! It's been a short seven years. I wish I could freeze her smile, her generosity, her easing going personality, her JOY, her patience with her brothers, but I know that if I "freeze" these things, I won't see her continue to grow in each of them. She has a lot of me in her, but the brains she's got came straight from her dad. I can't believe she still has blond hair, either? Go figure? But I absolutely have loved each and every step she's made during these short seven years.

I am thankful, God blessed me with this home.

My students have to write a Shakespearean Sonnet during the Renaissance unit which I typically teach in November. I told them this year I would write one along with them. They are so fun to write you should try it. It is like math and creativity joining up. You have to have 10 syllables or iambic pentameter if you remember that stuff from high school. And a sonnet can't be any other length except 14 lines. You should write one for the holidays and give to someone you love. It is such an old art form, but I love it.

I had a great time at Women of Faith this last Friday and Saturday. I had the chance to get caught up with lots of people. Britney and Trisha especially. The leaves have probably just a week left, so enjoy them. I love this time of year. I know everyone wants the Christmas card picture, but who can help capturing those great colors. I had a wide variety today, one tiny one, remember sweet caroline, well she is all big now, 3 months. Cutie! You guys will have a great fun Christmas. Make sure Darren doesn't open all her gifts for her!:) Next I had sweet friends Jessica, Allyson, and Corban. oh and my favorite of the day, Mary Jane, their airdale! Love it! I thought the dog did great. it sure helped that hot dogs were hanging over my head, literally. We had reinforcements and the hot dogs did the trick. It was such a beautiful day, I spent my morning with a garage sale and Doug duck hunting. Addy was a great help with the sale. She was ever so friendly with the customers. I was pleased to get rid of some stuff. Garage sales are so funny, you never know what will sell. I did sell her daybed, YEA! mom and dad are bringing up a full bed for her new room, when we move. That was a blessing to have sold that today. After the garage sale I had back to back sessions. My yearbook editors got some snapshots today together, aren't they beautiful! They are super smart to boot, too. Next I had the sweetest family, the Durham's and precious Oli! Can you see those blues, and there is no photoshop there, girls! Pure Blue! love it. Next I had my awesome friends and Bryant's big bud, Drew and his mom and dad, the Reeves. We did a session downtown and it was super fun. Carter Honea was next up and we did a senior session downtown, also. She has everything going for her, she's a humble leader, smart and makes a great photograph don't you think? Last I had a chance to meet Jaime's daughter, Sierana (sp) Oh, the curls on that girl. Love it! Well, lastly Shelly, the realtor, called late Friday afternoon and said she thinks the offer is going to go through, so after a long month of trying to find a house, I think we might have one? I'm sure I just jinxed it?! We'll see on Monday morning. Enjoy the photographs. I placed my favorites from the sessions today.

We had a great time at GABC with their fall festival. Dawn, Mark and kids came to join us, so the kids had a great time with the cousins. We had two darth vadors, one bubba fet(sp), and two fairie princess' oh, and your friendly spiderman. Check this picture out of our youth minister, wife and son. I loved it, they definately had the best costumes! Oh, and yes I'm one of those mothers who lets their child bobb for apples! Bring on the germs! He was so cute, and tried really hard, but finally we just had to pick it up and hand it to him.

Family Fun

All five of us love the fall, in fact other than me, the other four would say that fall is the best season. (I'm a summer girl, all the way!) Yesterday we played outside and enjoyed the great weather and a little football. I guess it seems more important this year to take pictures since this will be our last fall here at 2823 Dodson. We are closing on our house on the 20th of November.....not too long away. We aren't quite sure where we are going, yet? Hopefully we will know in the next few days. Regardless we aren't staying here....God has blessed us so much and I want to give him all the glory. He has steered us in all the right directions and has taken care of all the little details just like he always does. I'm so thankful to call him my God!

Northside Homecoming

Congratulations to Kendra Fleming, named homecoming queen last night @ NHS. All you girls were beautiful last night. It was the longest game ever. Thanks to Student Council for an outstanding homecoming week, Hollywood style! It was a fun theme. The Band plays Thriller during the half time show, the crowd went wild when the majority of the band did the Thriller dance, too cute! From Dallas, to IKEA, to home!

Last weekend I was so fortunate to go to Dallas and see Kerry (my college roomate). She and I have a lot in common and always have. She is starting her photography career in Dallas, so we attended a conference with an amazing speaker, Doug Box....great teacher. Anyway, it was a ton of fun learning and listening to such great speakers. Nothing like listening to someone who teaches you that everything you have been doing.....could be so much better. I love learning new stuff, especially with photography. I just love this art form and hopefully I can continue to be pushed to do much much better!
Next let me say how much I desperately want an IKEA store to move closer than Dallas. I love this store. I could furnish my whole home with their products. I got to go and dream about what I might could buy when we purchase a new home, speaking of which......hopefully we will have some news soon on ours!

Well, tonight the Germans joined our bleacher creatures. Right before half, the Germans caught on to what we were doing, then they decided they would help lead. Before I knew it I hear this sound, not sure if it was a cheer, chant, or what, but in true Northside style, it was loud and they had fun with it. I leaned over and told Mahan, only at Northside! I love it! oh and isn't little Madison the cutest cheerleader ever! I remember when my Addy had her little cheerleader outfit for the Grizzlies.

On the Market

I typically only include stuff about photography or school or my three precious ones on here but tonight, I'm going to take some time to brag on my husband and dad. For two weeks straight I don't think my husband has done anything but sleep, eat and work. He has worked so hard to get our house ready to sell. We've been so busy getting it ready that we've not had a chance to be discouraged by the recent news in the market with housing......and loans, etc. Mom and Dad came up on Tuesday and they have worked their heads off. We totally decluttered the house and did the scrub down to get things clean. I feel better just having things stored away for now. I hope it sells quickly, but I'm dedicated to letting God direct us. There have been some really Godly, kind people helping me, advising me in the last few weeks, and I am always so appreciative of that. It seems like the more you move in any direction the more God uses us. When you are static....it seems to be in my life anyway, that God becomes static. It is so reassuring when you feel the presence of God.....your faith and works combined really does strengthen the relationship with God.

I could do a whole post on what this sweet house has meant to me, but I'll save that for later....hopefully sooner than later. Anyway, Shelly is going to list it with Chuck Faucet Realty. She was funny....last night she emailed and asked if I wanted to take the pictures or did I want her to come over and get the pictures....we both laughed and said well, I guess I'll do it...no need in her coming over here for that purpose. So tonight I managed to get them all taken and hope they will work! Feel free to send me advice, this is our first for selling a home. I love advice!

The cutest little Asian baby that I've ever seen---- I am already in love with this little guy. It is so crazy to think that all the way in South Korea, the Lord has been blessing this baby boy. So many of us have been praying for him or her.......and now we have Owen! I know that Nathan and Emily can't stop smiling, the longest wait now begins...we all hope he arrives by Christmas, but we'll see? Congratulations you guys, he is simply adorable. I can't wait to capture him, but more than that. I can't wait for him to arrive safe and sound with Nathan and Emily. Heartbreaking loss

Well, PB beat us. At the last second we had a chance to tie the game......but they came down with it in the endzone:( But we had a great crowd and hopefully we will bounce back this week. We travel to Van Buren. Since Heritage opened it's doors in Rogers, Van Buren moved to another conference, so we only play them for non-conference. I'm glad they are still in our schedule. It is a nice away game that isn't really Away! I'm posting some pictures of the tail gate party before the game and some shots of the bleacher creatures pre game fun. Oh and Dax Dupire is our quarterback and I got a few shots of him warming up, too along with the rest of the team.

The real day is Sunday, but Bryant doesn't really understand quite yet about the real day, so the toys, cake, and extra time with friends and family made for one great 3 year old birthday party. Just How Much Can You Read?

Seniors:By now, you know I expect you to read and read A LOT over the next few months. Which book will you check out first and why?

For those of you who are not in my class, what book are you reading right now? I am usually reading Christian fiction or something I think my students will enjoy.... I am always up for something new so please share author and title. This week I am reading a book titled, Fire From the Rock, by Sharon Draper. Everything she writes is relevant to teens today. Next up is the Jay Asher book, 13 reasons why, I've heard I will need some kleenex to get through that one. I am not a fan of sad stories, but everyone that reads it says it is a must read for teachers.

Oh, and just how many of you out there are hooked on the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyers? If you don't know about it, google it, it may not be a "Harry Potter," but it has taken the students and teachers by storm at Northside.

My Three and the End of Summer

I took the kids downtown for the short afternoon today, with the promise of sno cones, I got some pretty good shots. Bryant is just about to turn 3~ I can't believe how big he looks in some of these shots. It seems like just six months ago, I couldn't get him to cooperate with a 10 minute session, today was a first to get happy expressions from all three. I feel a new blog header coming on with some of these shots~ Bennett and Bryant's shirts remind me of the great fall colors. For all of those moms sending kids to school tomorrow, I hope it is a good one for you. Bennett is starting 3rd grade which was a bit harder for me than his first or second grade, but all the same I am happy he is growing up. Then there is Addy moving on to first grade which is changing more and more everyday especially in her looks. Bryant started Central Pres last week for preschool and he seems to think he is going to school just like the big kids, typical these days for him to do everything they do. So, I will be so anxious to pick them up tomorrow from school and hear all about the new things they experienced. Such a fun day for moms and kids!
